This is a global award winning highly specialised vocational course, which focuses on the real world demands of the Graphic and Communication Design industry. The course has built up an impressive track record for work-based learning and has an extensive network of employers that have recruited our students over the years. Thanks to our strong links to industry, recent graduates have found full-time employment in leading design studios, working in areas such as branding and digital, motion, publishing and cross-platform advertising.

Entry into the creative Industry has never been more competitive, so continual exposure is becoming an increasingly important element of undergraduate education. You will be challenged to engage with live collaborative commercial briefs through research, design and technology and experience first-hand what it is like to work for a design agency as part of our Internship scheme both in the UK and abroad. This valuable experience will provide you with essential experience sought by prospective employers and make the transition into the creative industry seamless.

You will have the opportunity to enter International design competitions D&AD New Blood, YCN, ISTD and AOI and be inspired by previous winners of the course who have won awards for their outstanding designs. The course nurtures and develops the intelligent application of practical design skills through traditional and innovative approaches. This goes hand-in-hand with high levels of awareness about theoretical and critical perspectives that consciously contribute to shaping a student’s work. Furthermore, you are encouraged to give a great deal of consideration to the audience who will receive your visual messages, through continuous reflection and evaluation of the social, cultural, economic, ethical and sustainable contexts of your work.

As you hone your craft as a designer you’ll get the opportunity to be mentored by a leading practioner from the creative industries. Who will help to prepare you for a successful career as you compile your professional portfolio based on your area of specialism. Our ultimate aim is to help you become a creative, well-rounded and knowledgeable designer capable of developing and leading in this rapidly advancing industry.

You will be expected to exhibit your work at the end of the course both locally and nationally in London.
