Learning about the history of interior design and how different styles have developed over time, has enabled me to look at the world with fresh eyes.

My thoughts are influenced by a building’s setting and its history; and the surrounding landscape will strongly influence my interior designs, as I enjoy incorporating elements that reflect this sense of place.

I understand the importance of including natural light, green-spaces and natural, sustainable materials for their ability to induce feelings of calm and well-being.   I am often inspired by European interiors and textiles, particularly those from Austria and Germany, whereby traditional styles are reworked and used innovatively within contemporary, ecologically thoughtful, settings.  I enjoy looking at ways to achieve similar results here, by using local influences and good quality products to create meaningful spaces with a real sense of belonging.
